IMPORTANT: You need to be currently enrolled at the HAW Hamburg to apply for the scholarship.

Scholarship:

We award scholarships of up to 500 Euros/month for up to five months. An application for a further semester is possible.

Application requirements:

Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to apply for the scholarship:

You are an international Master student at the HAW Hamburg and are studying in the Regelstudienzeit* (*the number of semesters defined for the completion of your degree). (If you are at the end of your studies, meaning that you only have one year left until you finish your studies, you can apply for the Final Year Scholarship.)
You completed your school education outside of Germany or successfully graduated from a Studienkolleg
You successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree
Your GPA is at least 2,5.
You ideally completed an internship related to your studies (certificate needed)
You ideally are and/or have been socially/voluntarily committed (certificate needed)
You are not entitled to BAföG, i.e. you do not fulfil the requirements of § 8 of the Bundesausbildungsförderungsgesetz (BAföG) (If you are unsure please contact the BAföG Amt. You should definitely do this if you do not have a residency permit according to §16 Aufenthaltsgesetz or are an EU citizen)
*Students studying the degree programmes Public Health, Public Management, Social and Health Management may not apply for the scholarship
